Hi, my name's Katie. Did you know? Britain has not been conquered since 1066! I've been wondering what really happened all that time ago.

History is about trying to recreate the past from the evidence that has been passed down to us. But it's not easy as there is very little left! It's rather like being a detective, you have to piece things together and work out what they might mean.
