We have learned so far:

• there are two main parts to every sentence - subject and predicate
• the subject word of a sentence can be a noun or sometimes a pronoun
• The predicate of a sentence must contain a verb
• the object of the verb is found in the predicate and can be a noun or pronoun.

Part two of this grammar series will cover inflection of verbs and nouns within a sentence.
