Reservoirs

Because mountain areas get so much rain dams are sometimes built across valleys to make man-made lakes called reservoirs. The water from reservoirs is pumped to people's homes and to factories.

This reservoir is in Wales. There is not much water in the reservoir at the moment. This is because the weather has been very dry, and there has not been enough rain to keep the reservoir filled for people to use.
