 English Lucy's Letter

This module focuses on the structure, the development and purpose of a letter. The pupils are presented with an example of a problem letter, which Lucy writes pointing out the important parts of the structure e.g. address, date, beginning, paragraphs and ending.

The answer to Lucy's letter is included for the pupils to read, with questions about the elements of the letter pointed out by Lucy. The children are then invited to answer a problem letter themselves, structuring it with the important elements.

This activity also gives the opportunity for assessment of children's response to the content of the letter.
